Torr Vale Mill is a truly unique wedding venue set in a Grade II* Listed former industrial mill. With beautiful views across the Torrs Gorge, the venue occupies a magnificent setting on the banks of the River Goyt.
Dating back to the early 1800's, the mill played an important part in the industrial revolution, specifically in spinning and weaving cotton.
After closing its doors in 2000 (making it the longest continous period of cotton production in the UK), the mill lay empty and derelict.
Now, it has been lovingly restored back to life and during the renovation, many industrial architecture of the 1800's have been retained - harrel vaulted ceilings, exposed stone walls and cast iron columns and beams to name a few.
